In short

We are committed to respecting your privacy and recognise your need to protect the personal information you share with us.

  • We do not sell or disclose your personal information (including your email address); it is used for internal purposes only.
  • We use cookies to understand how you use the site and improve your experience; some come from third parties (analytics, advertising).
  • You can refuse or delete cookies at any time (see below).

By using this site, you accept this privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Purpose and scope

This policy governs how Melis Technology, Melis Platform and its affiliates (“Melis”, “we”) use the personal data collected via www.melisplatform.com (and its sub-domains, content and services — the “Site”).

Melis Technology may amend this policy at any time by posting an updated version; the date at the top of the page will be updated. Using the Site constitutes acceptance of the version in force.

Information we collect

Information you provide. Data sent directly: emails, account-creation or third-party authentication data, survey responses, support requests — which may include first/last name, email address, postal address and other contact details.

Information collected automatically. When accessing the Site: pages visited, browser type and operating system, access times, IP address, approximate geolocation, domain name, referring page, as well as technical data about the device (model, version, identifiers, network).

Cookies

We use cookies and web beacons (“pixels”, “gifs”) to improve our services, analyse traffic, measure our campaigns and know whether our emails have been opened. Cookies may store your preferences but do not give direct access to your personal data and contain no viruses or harmful files.

We also use third-party cookies (e.g. Google Analytics) to analyse traffic, measure content effectiveness and improve the experience.

Refusing or deleting cookies. You can refuse or delete them via your browser settings (Safari, Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Opera), as well as on iPhone/iPad and Android. You can also opt out of Google advertising cookies (Google ad-settings page), other ad networks via the Network Advertising Initiative, and Google Analytics collection via the opt-out add-on. Melis Technology does not guarantee the accuracy of these procedures and disclaims any liability in this respect.

Use of the data

Browsing data is used to route the requested pages to your device. We do not share your personal data, except where necessary to fulfil your request or under a legal obligation (subpoena, court order); in such a case we request confidential treatment without being able to guarantee it. We will never use your data for a different purpose without informing you and allowing you to object. You are responsible for keeping the data you provide up to date.

Registration and third-party services

Some services require registration, including via third-party accounts (Facebook, Google, LinkedIn…). When you use these services, you acknowledge that Melis Technology is not responsible for the security of your passwords or data transmitted to those third-party platforms.

This policy does not apply to entities that Melis Technology does not own or control. We are not responsible for third-party sites reachable via links on our Site; we recommend that you review their own privacy policies.

Your rights (GDPR)

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights over the data concerning you:

  • right of access, rectification and erasure;
  • right to restriction and right to object to processing;
  • right to data portability;
  • right to set directives on the fate of your data after your death;
  • right to withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on it.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@melistechnology.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

California residents: under section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code, you may request once a year information about the disclosure of your data for direct-marketing purposes, at the address above.
