In short

We are committed to respecting your privacy and recognise your need to protect the personal information you share with us.

  • We do not sell or disclose your personal information (including your email address); it is used for internal purposes only.
  • We use cookies, including analytics cookies that are set only after your consent.
  • You can refuse or withdraw your cookie consent at any time (see below) and exercise your GDPR rights.

The controller of the data collected via the site is Melis Technology SAS, 4 rue du Dahomey, 75011 Paris, France — contact@melistechnology.com.

No Data Protection Officer (DPO) has been appointed to date; for any question about your data, write to the address above.

Purpose and scope

This policy governs how Melis Technology, Melis Platform and its affiliates (“Melis”, “we”) use the personal data collected via www.melisplatform.com (and its sub-domains, content and services — the “Site”). Melis Technology may amend it at any time; the date at the top of the page will be updated.

Data we collect

Information you provide. Data sent directly: emails, account-creation or third-party authentication data, survey responses, support requests — which may include first/last name, email address, postal address and other contact details.

Information collected automatically. When accessing the Site: pages visited, browser type and operating system, access times, IP address, approximate geolocation, domain name, referring page, and technical data about the device (model, version, identifiers, network).

Each processing operation relies on one of the legal bases provided by the GDPR:

  • Consent (Art. 6.1.a): analytics cookies and, where applicable, newsletter sign-up;
  • Pre-contract / contract (Art. 6.1.b): handling contact and quote requests, and providing the subscribed services;
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f): Site security, fraud prevention and improving our services;
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c): retention of certain data (e.g. connection logs, accounting obligations).

Cookies

We use cookies and web beacons (“pixels”, “gifs”) to operate the Site, analyse traffic and measure our campaigns. Strictly necessary cookies are consent-exempt; analytics cookies are only set after your agreement. Cookie details:

Refusing or deleting cookies. You can manage your consent via the cookie banner, and refuse/delete cookies via your browser settings (Safari, Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Opera) as well as on iPhone/iPad and Android. You can also opt out of Google advertising cookies and Google Analytics collection via Google’s opt-out add-on.

Retention periods

Data is kept for the period strictly necessary for the purposes; as a guide:

  • Contact requests / prospects: up to 3 years from the last contact;
  • Clients (contractual relationship): for the term of the contract, then archived per legal obligations (e.g. 10 years for accounting records);
  • Analytics cookies: 13 months maximum (CNIL recommendation); audience data anonymised beyond 25 months;
  • Connection data (logs): kept in accordance with applicable legal obligations.

Recipients and transfers outside the European Union

Your data is intended for the authorised internal departments of Melis Technology and, where applicable, its technical processors (hosting, analytics) acting on instructions.

Hosting is provided in France. Audience measurement is operated via Google Analytics (Google LLC), which may involve a transfer of data to the United States. This transfer is framed by the mechanisms provided by the GDPR (Standard Contractual Clauses and/or Google’s adherence to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). These cookies are only set after your consent.

Use of the data

Browsing data is used to route the requested pages to your device. We do not share your personal data, except where necessary to fulfil your request or under a legal obligation. We will never use your data for a different purpose without informing you and allowing you to object. You are responsible for keeping the data you provide up to date.

Registration and third-party services

Some services require registration, including via third-party accounts (Facebook, Google, LinkedIn…). Melis Technology is not responsible for the security of data transmitted to those third-party platforms. This policy does not apply to third-party sites reachable via links on our Site; please review their own policies.
